This work is a series that reconstructs a single scene by layering two photographs. By adjusting the opacity of images captured from different perspectives, the artist stacks spatiotemporal layers that cannot physically coexist on a flat surface.
The first photograph combines the interior and exterior of a bookstore, while the second integrates the basement and ceiling of a library. As opposing gazes—such as inside and outside, or above and below—are translucently overlapped, familiar locations are displaced into unfamiliar landscapes where structural lines are deconstructed and recombined. Moving beyond the limitations of a single viewpoint, the artist reveals the multifaceted, overlapping layers of space.
이 작업은 두 장의 사진을 겹쳐 하나의 장면으로 재구성한 시리즈다. 작가는 서로 다른 시점을 포착한 이미지들의 투명도(Opacity)를 조절하며, 평면 위에 물리적으로 공존할 수 없는 시공간의 층위를 쌓아 올린다.
첫 번째 사진은 서점의 내부와 외부를, 두 번째 사진은 도서관의 지하와 천장을 한 장으로 합친 결과물이다. 안과 밖, 혹은 위와 아래처럼 대립하는 시선들이 반투명하게 겹쳐지면서, 익숙한 공간은 구조적인 선들이 해체되고 재결합된 생경한 풍경으로 치환된다. 작가는 단일 시점의 한계를 벗어나 공간이 지닌 중첩된 레이어들을 보여준다.
