This series records the various frames created by the architectural structures of German cathedrals and the light that filters through them. The artist focuses on the lines formed by overlapping frames—not only at the boundaries between interior and exterior but also those that divide and define the internal space itself.
In some instances, intense light from the outside creates visual tension against the shadows; in others, the internal structures intersect to establish a static sense of order. Through the geometric forms and frames found within the cathedral, the work captures the depth and structure of the space.
